Salary: $35 - $37/hr

Position Summary: The Salome Urena Campus Family Development Coach will use case management framework to address participant challenges and remove barriers that may impede their success in the program. Together with the participant, the Family Development Coach will assess and prioritize needs, plan and develop goals for themselves and their families, review options for continued education and career exploration, and re-evaluate these plans and goals throughout the program. They will also utilize CA's internal resources to support with concrete needs as well as explore external providers to ensure that participants' needs are addressed in a comprehensive manner.

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work with the Adult Program and site leadership to identify, assess and support students' needs.
  • Schedule weekly check-ins with students on caseload.
  • Document interactions (phone calls, office visits with students, collateral contacts) to track and monitor progress of services and/or intervention plan.
  • Attend (or be represented at) weekly staff meetings to share concerns and/or challenges and to present a summary of how students are doing.
  • Keep Adult Program Coordinator informed of emergency requests/concerns raised by students on caseload.
  • Work with students, as partners, to develop individual work plans that will outline strategies and outcomes that will ensure their success in the areas they identified as goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree required, master's degree preferred.
    • Experience working with adult students in urban, public education settings
