Job description

Description

Our client is embarking on a major network infrastructure replacement and migration project across multiple data closets. We are seeking 1–2 individuals to support this project — responsible for coordinating with multiple internal and external groups, moving and re-racking equipment, migrating cabling, coordinating IP address changes, and updating management and IPAM systems (e.g. Cisco ISE, Infoblox, Catalyst Center). The work is expected to last 6–9 months. Hospital staff will manage major configuration and handle late-night cutovers; these roles will focus on coordination, physical moves, documentation, and support during normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with internal hospital IT groups and external contractors/vendors to schedule and orchestrate network closet migrations.

Assist with racking and un-racking equipment and migrating cabling to new switches/routers as part of the infrastructure upgrade.

Track all assets, cabling, and equipment moves; update documentation, labeling, and asset management systems.

Update IP address schema, coordinate with teams performing IP changes, and verify functionality post-migration.

Update management systems including IPAM (e.g. Infoblox), network access control (e.g. Cisco ISE), and network management / monitoring tools (e.g. Catalyst Center or equivalent).

Work primarily during normal business hours; coordinate and hand off to hospital night team for late-night cutovers.

Communicate with multiple stakeholders (network, server, application, operations, clinical IT) to ensure minimal disruption to clinical services.

Provide basic troubleshooting support post-migration to validate new configurations, cabling integrity, connectivity, and system access.

Maintain accurate documentation of all changes, including diagrams, labeling, schedules, and rollback plans.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
