Job description

Description
MIT Sloan School of Management seeks applications for a post-doctoral fellow with a strong research interest in Voluntary Carbon Markets.
This is a full-time position starting in the Summer 2025 (other dates possible). We will be hiring on renewable one-year contracts (standard at MIT), with a preference for applicants who can work for two years or longer.
The ideal candidate must have demonstrated strong empirical research skills in a relevant field and have completed the Ph.D. before the start date. Practical or academic experience with Voluntary Carbon Markets is a strong advantage.
The fellow will work with Professor Roberto Rigobon and researchers Florian Berg, Florian Heeb, and Esther Kohler on research aiming to improve the climate impact of Voluntary Carbon Markets; their work will be connected to the MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium (MCSC) Seed Awards Project "Improving additionality assessment in voluntary carbon markets".
Qualifications
Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) by start date in a relevant field who are interested in studying themes related to Voluntary Carbon Markets.
