SUMMARY

Oversee the Showโ€™s Marketing, Strategic Communications, Digital Media and Merchandise departments. Direct the execution of advertising/marketing and communications, media relations, public relations, reputation management, brand identity and awareness, merchandise, editorial production, and digital and social media.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude but are not limited to the following:

Oversee and direct the day-to-day efforts of the marketing, strategic communications, digital/social media and merchandise departments.

Oversee the efforts of the departmentโ€™s 13 volunteer committees.

Create, direct, and execute marketing research including surveys and consumer demographic analysis.

Oversee the creation, execution and integration of a comprehensive marketing strategy and associated metrics including:

  • Advertising across all channels
  • Digital platforms
  • Branding

Establish and maintain a consistent positive corporate image in the community commensurate with a non-profit organization throughout all marketing, communication, and public relations efforts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage four direct reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with people of all levels.
  • Demonstrated passion for and commitment to the organization and its role as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
  • Ability to maintain the departmentโ€™s first-class level of success and achievement.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, and/or communications from a four-year college or university required.
  • Requires at least 10 years of mid- to high-level event and cause marketing management experience.
  • Must have experience and advanced skills in brand management, direct media relations, public relations, market research, audience analysis, advertising, and social media.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Requires ability to work and communicate effectively, including presentations and public speaking, with corporate marketing executives, committee volunteers, media executives the buying public, contractors and employees.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write effective speeches and editorial content for all mediums.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Requires skills in multiple marketing research methodologies, Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging market research methodologies and trends, social media platforms and outlets.
  • Knowledge of graphic production and content management systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of non-profit governance preferred.
