Job description

OVERVIEW
The Installer, Garage Doors is responsible for the professional installation, service, and repair of residential and/or commercial garage doors, openers, and related hardware. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
  • Install residential and/or commercial garage doors and openers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and hardware to job sites
  • Inspect job site conditions and verify measurements prior to installation
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble and install door sections, track, springs, cables, and other components
  • Ensure proper functionality, alignment, and safety of installed systems
  • Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding the scope of work, timelines, and proper door operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company vehicles
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complete job documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Competencies/Skills/Abilities
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand/power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and reliability
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in construction, carpentry, or garage door installation a plus
