Job description

We take play seriously. We're looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what's never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you'll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.
At Wizards of the Coast, we bring people together globally through play and creativity. Our iconic games, Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons®, define genres. We keep innovating and creating new opportunities to encourage friendship and connection. That's where you come in!
We are seeking a senior finance leader to act as the finance lead of the Magic Digital business. This is not a traditional FP&A role. This finance strategist works within the business, collaborating closely with Product and Analytics to build monetization strategies, guide investment choices, and drive revenue growth while ensuring financial diligence and capital control throughout the company.
This rare chance allows you to blend live service game economics, commercial strategy, and financial leadership to drive further growth in a globally world-class franchise! Are you ready for the challenge?
What You'll Do:
  • Act as Financial Co-Owner of the Arena Commercial Engine - Partner deeply with Product Management and Data Analytics to lead the live service economy of Magic Arena. Participate directly in monetization planning, SKU development, promotion strategy, pricing decisions, and player wallet management. Translate player behavior and engagement data into actionable financial insights that build commercial direction.
  • Lead Monetization Strategy and Performance Analysis - Manage analysis of SKU level performance, payer mix, monetization metrics, retention, content cadence impact, and marketing efficiency. Lead forecasting and conduct scenario modeling for new features, economic shifts, and monetization efforts.
  • Run FP&A Fundamentals with Excellence - Coordinate close cadence, budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range planning support for Arena across the entire set of Financial Statements. Ensure alignment between strategy, financial plans, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Influence Business Direction - Turn ambiguity into clear arguments. Challenge assumptions with credibility and data. Help build investment prioritization, return thresholds, and tradeoffs across monetization and commercial initiatives.
  • Support Broader Digital Strategy - Contribute to broader Digital Magic and Video Games initiatives as needed, strengthening cross portfolio insights and analysis.

What You'll Bring:
• Significant experience in digital games finance, ideally within live service and mobile environments
• Deep familiarity with player data, monetization strategies, in-game economic systems, content timing, and marketing performance
• Consistent track record to operate as an embedded business partner within Product, Data, and Commercial teams
• Strong forecasting and financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis in volatile environments
• Experience owning forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews at a senior level
• Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, decision ready insights for senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
Compensation range (USD): Starting at $144,400-216,600, with eligibility for annual and long-term incentives.
