Role:


Assists in the implementation of the Connections program of the community to ensure the maximum levels of resident leisure contentment, as well as physical, mental, and psychological wellbeing.   

Opportunities Available: 

  1. Companion Visit Volunteers  

  1. Provide one-on-one visits with residents 

  1. Interview residents and family to gain knowledge of their personal history and interests. 

  1. Accompany and assist associates during off-campus outings with residents 

  1. Programming Volunteer 

  1. Assist the connections team during a scheduled program or event 

  1. Share a current hobby or interest with the residents at Juniper 

  1. Develop and lead programming of various topics 

  1. Entertainment Volunteer 

  1. Share a musical or performing arts talent with our residents 

  1. Pet Therapy Visits 

  1. Requires up to date Rabies vaccination certificate 

  1. Perennial Players Volunteers 

  1. Assist resident actors during rehearsals for upcoming theater performances 

  1. Delivery Volunteers 

  1. Deliver newsletters, mail and packages to residents across campus 

  1. Music and Memory Volunteers 

  1. Assist the Performing Arts Coordinator in developing and creating personalized mp3 playlists for residents living with Dementia 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years or older (if not, must be accompanied by an adult) 

  • Criminal Background Check required 

  • Reference checks required 

  • Provide your own transportation to and from Juniper 

  • Two-step PPD (Mantoux) skin test required (for Rehab and Skilled Nursing community only) *Provided by Juniper Communities if applicable*
