Job Summary

Mazzetti's Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Consulting Engineering Practice is dedicated to designing high performance, resilient, and sustainable solutions for the built environment, with a keen focus on Healthcare and Infrastructure projects. We are looking for a professional Electrical Engineer to streamline and optimize our electrical engineering processes, support sustainable building design initiatives, contribute to environmental performance research, and conduct comprehensive assessments of buildings' electrical systems.

Core Responsibilities
  • Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Analyze existing electrical systems in our clients’ healthcare facilities or central plants to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Incorporate energy‑use analysis to optimize electrical system energy efficiency while meeting project‑specific needs.
  • Ensure compliance with utility company standards, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements through calculations and system evaluations.
  • Develop layouts for electrical and IT equipment rooms, ensuring proper coordination with other systems and building components.
  • Review and provide feedback on contractor submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure all designs are properly coordinated and integrated.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field with a focus on electrical engineering and electrical systems.
  • Five years of experience as an electrical engineer analyzing existing electrical systems in buildings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering for the state of California.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Telecommute is permitted.
