Job description

Electrical Engineer (P4) – Bay Area

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer (P4) to support large scale commercial and mission critical projects in the Bay Area. This role suits someone who is fully competent in electrical design, able to work independently on complex packages, and confident leading elements of the engineering process.

Base pay range

$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Deliver full electrical design packages including drawings, specifications and construction documentation
  • Produce point to point schedules, control diagrams, conductor heat calculations and power studies for hyperscale data centers
  • Run SKM or ETAP studies including short circuit, load flow and arc flash
  • Review and coordinate design with equipment submittals
  • Apply QAQC through design and construction phases
  • Provide technical support to engineers, designers, estimators and project managers
  • Ensure construction documents meet code requirements and project scope
  • Attend internal and external coordination meetings (architect, MEP, GC and owner SMEs)
  • Mentor junior designers and support technical development within the team
  • Contribute to engineering standards, processes and workflows
  • Coordinate with CAD/BIM teams to support project delivery
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Professional Engineer licence in California
  • 3 to 5 years experience in electrical design for commercial, industrial or mission critical projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and power systems software (SKM or ETAP)
  • Strong understanding of NEC and state codes
  • Good time management, communication and coordination skills
