Job description


The Senior PM will be responsible for Implementing the Network technology, and plan for the installation of technology/be able to work in a program mgmt setting delivering services for multiple work streams. Standard MS project /office tools. 
Central State Hospital (CSH) is constructing a new Behavioral Health Hospital housing 141 Civil Beds and 111 Maximum Security Beds (252 Total) . Our HIRM Davis Facility currently houses Lab, Pharmacy, Radiology, Dental and Physical Therapy which will transition operations to the new CSH. Move in date is currently being discussed and is planned for June 2027. 


A comprehensive plan is required to transition to the new hospital and involves complex operational, clinical, technical, regulatory, logistical considerations and requires early alignment between executive leadership, the project management team and project stakeholders.


PM will be responsible for successfully planning, organizing, and motivating diverse project teams to deliver throughout all phases of the project. 

The PM must have experience in implementing a new facility, planning for installation of a new Network technology and familiar with Move/relocation of a facility. 

The PM will oversee the work a Business System Analysts, the IT Director for the CSH. VITA network team is the reviewer and approver of a Network Solution and support build of a Bill of Materials (BOM) to support the IT Director at CSH. Familiarity with Building a Network Build of Material (BOM) is preferred for the ideal candidate, with the support of the Business System Analyst and IT Director.

DAY TO DAY

• Oversee requirements gathering and review / acceptance by IT Network team.

• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblock 
• Manage working relationships with key stakeholders, including executive management, business management, project sponsors, and technology management.
• Lead and coordinate the scoping, technical requirements gathering, estimating and planning for single or multiple work-streams
• Set project goals that are consistent with technical objectives and the agency’s overall technology strategy.
• Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
• Facilitates resolution of technical issues
• Track and communicate a project's progress from a schedule, cost, and risk perspective to the project team, customers, and project stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Owners, support Deployment of Technology attached to the network, incorporate agency best practices into project plans.
• Drive consistent project delivery through the entire project lifecycle, including execution of procurements, definition of project plans, resource allocation, management of project risks, scope, and schedule, delivery of value, and well-ordered transitions to operations.
• Adhere to DBHDS & VITA project management practices and governance requirements
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Because of the size and criticality of the Hospital, strong budget and risk management skills are required to meet funding reporting and VITA oversight requirements.
