Overview:

Seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Operations Planning & Data Advisor to support utility planning operations. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in data analysis, operational planning, asset management, work management planning, program controls, or business operations who enjoy working with large datasets and transforming data into actionable operational plans.

This position combines data analytics, operational planning, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure work scopes are prioritized correctly, aligned with business rules, and ready for execution.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Planning

• Manage, organize, and analyze large datasets (200,000+ records/assets).

• Utilize advanced Excel and database tools to support planning, reporting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

• Develop and maintain work plans based on business priorities, operational guidelines, and established planning criteria.

• Support workload forecasting, resource planning, and prioritization of maintenance, inspection, and capital work programs.

• Identify trends, data quality issues, and opportunities for process improvement.

Operational Planning & Quality Assurance

• Review and validate scopes of work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with planning requirements.

• Evaluate operational constraints including geography, resource availability, seasonal impacts, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify planning conflicts, execution risks, logistical issues, and data discrepancies.

• Ensure work plans are operationally feasible and aligned with established priorities and guidelines.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with planning, operations, engineering, project management, and other cross-functional teams.

• Communicate planning assumptions, priorities, scope requirements, and recommendations.

• Support issue resolution, work execution readiness, and ongoing planning activities.

Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
