What you will be doing:
  • Operate and drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with all DOT regulations
  • Safely load, transport, and unload goods according to delivery schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, hours of service.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
  • Adhere to GEODIS policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or delays promptly to the appropriate parties.
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Supports GEODIS' programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality , Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability

Requirements
  • Must be at least 21-year-old and have a valid state driver's license
  • Class A candidates must have a minimum of Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Must have successfully completed a driver's road test and have been issued a certificate of driver's road test or possess a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Must have a valid operator's license for the type of vehicle which they are assigned to drive.
  • Meet the driver qualification requirements as required by FMCSA or state statue
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
