Job Title: CNC Machine Setup Operator
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: First Shift

Position Overview

A growing CNC machine shop is seeking a CNC Machine Setup Operator to support daily machining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with CNC experience who is eager to learn, grow their skills, and work closely with a small team in a hands-on shop environment.

The company specializes in one-off and short-run production work and operates multiple CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC setup and machine operation, attention to detail, and a willingness to take initiative and learn new processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CNC machine setup and operation for production jobs
  • Load materials, tooling, and fixtures into CNC machines
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with machine adjustments
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Support short-run and one-off production projects
  • Work closely with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Previous CNC machining or machine operator experience required
