Job description

Job Description

An enterprise GenAI and cybersecurity team is hiring an AI Prompt Engineer in Dallas, Tx to support research into next-generation security testing. The team is developing AI-driven methods for examining software and infrastructure for vulnerabilities and uses leading-edge language models as part of its security research process.

You will help build the framework that turns an LLM into a usable cybersecurity testing tool. This includes determining what information a model needs, how a security task should be broken into steps, how prompts should react to prior results, and how findings should ultimately be passed into downstream engineering and security processes. The environment is highly experimental, making curiosity, technical aptitude, and the ability to rapidly improve prompt performance especially valuable.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong record of building advanced prompt-based solutions with generative AI
  • Ability to demonstrate specific projects involving complex prompt design or AI orchestration
  • Meaningful professional or hands-on cybersecurity experience
  • Understanding of software vulnerabilities, malicious activity, attack paths, and network security
  • Coding ability in Python, Go, .NET, or another modern software-development language
  • Experience connecting AI workflows to databases or other supporting technical systems
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cloud SQL, or similar data stores
  • Comfort learning new models, languages, and tooling as the technology evolves

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Application-security background
  • Familiarity with code scanning and dynamic application testing
  • Experience performing security research, vulnerability discovery, or penetration testing
  • Cloud engineering knowledge
  • Familiarity with container orchestration
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or GKE

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • Research new ways to use generative AI for cyber-defense and security-assessment activities
  • Build sophisticated prompt sequences capable of guiding a model through technical security tasks
  • Create contextual AI harnesses that retain the information necessary for multi-stage investigations
  • Develop use cases around software scanning, simulated penetration testing, and vulnerability identification
  • Apply AI models to infrastructure-oriented testing, including perimeter and port analysis
  • Explore techniques for recognizing security issues involving certificates and network access
  • Run prompting experiments against different frontier models and evaluate the quality of their output
  • Partner with data engineering to ensure model findings are collected in a usable format
  • Provide validated findings to threat-hunting teams for deeper investigation and remediation

The Offer

  • Contract opportunity
  • Competitive hourly compensation

You will receive the following benefits:

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Benefits
  • Vision Benefits
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 401(k)

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
