This role supports our Express 4x4 Truck Rental team. Established in 1993 and acquired by Sasser in 2013, we offer flexible and affordable, mid- to long-term -ton, -ton and 1-ton pick-up truck rentals for or clients, with a commitment to on-time delivery, anywhere in North America.

The Manager of Fleet Remarketing supports Express 4x4 Truck Rental remarketing operations through developing an independent nationwide client base of vehicle auctions and uncovering new opportunities to remarket vehicles through prospective accounts.

As a Manager of Fleet Remarketing, Here's What You Will Do:
  • Effectively manage all assigned auction functions and performance.

  • Responds to sales inquiries within the assigned territory and generates new opportunities to sell or purchase trucks.

  • Liquidates inventory through wholesale channels such as dealers, independent auctions, Manheim, ADESA, online platform, etc., including current and prospective clients.

  • Manages relationships with independent auctions and dealers to build Express's reputation and explore, introduce, and grow remarketing efforts.

  • Works directly with operations, logistics, accounting, and licensing & title teams to ensure all aspects of accelerated remarketing projects are fulfilled in a timely manner (e.g., pick-ups and vehicle assignments).

  • Maintains awareness of industry trends and recommends strategies and procedures as needed.

  • Responsible for direct sales functions and processing.

  • Responsible for vehicle staging, flooring/pricing, auction reconditioning, negotiation of offers, arbitration issues, and receipt of sale proceeds, including title receipt from clients and payment.

  • Serves as subject matter expert on company remarketing capabilities to assist with client presentations and calls.

  • Builds relationships and negotiates with auction personnel to secure optimal vehicle placement.

  • Develops relationships with outside sales department personnel to assist in penetrating new markets and securing new clients.

  • Optimizes use of the dealer-direct and customer-direct websites as part of a broader remarketing strategy.

  • Utilizes AutoIMS and various internal systems, such as Power BI or similar tools, to analyze the effectiveness and performance of the Express network, regional performance, and individual auction performance.

  • Provides expert direction on issues related to vehicle remarketing. Researches and determines solutions for problems pertaining to vehicle sales, title issues, quote issues, etc.

  • Maintains and enhances vendor and industry relationships, including through occasional travel.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in vehicle remarketing, fleet leasing and management, or another related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline; however, relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.

  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain and maintain, a valid state driver's license.

  • Required to obtain a Pennsylvania vehicle salesperson license within six months of hire.

  • Understanding of independent vehicle auctions, the full-cycle remarketing process, and related opportunities.

  • Understanding of used/wholesale vehicle values from MMR and Black Book evaluations, etc.

Compensation/Benefits

The hiring range for this role is $85,000-$95,000 USD annually. This role is classified as exempt for purposes of applicable wage and hour laws, which means that the individual hired will not be eligible for overtime pay. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on financial and personal performance throughout the plan year.

Sasser is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Pay ranges are assigned to a job based on market data according to 3rd party salary benchmarking surveys. Actual base salary is dependent upon factors such as knowledge, skill level, and experience.
