Role Summary
Our Electrical Hardware Technical Program Management team is seeking a proactive Engineering Program Specialist (EPS) to drive our Electronic Control Unit (ECU) new product development efforts across the supply chain. You will be working directly with electrical and mechanical component suppliers and PCBA contract manufacturers to enable time-sensitive, critical-path development builds. You will be directly responsible for material readiness/clear-to-build summaries and reports that will be used by engineering and purchasing stakeholders to assess build status and risks to meet ECU delivery requirements. You will also be responsible for Electrical Hardware organization budget roll up and invoice tracking across all R&D activities, including CapEx and OpEx, beyond the NPI materials scope.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders - Technical Program Managers, Product Launch Engineering, Eng Operations Program Managers, Purchasing Managers, and Design/Component Engineering team members - to manage electrical and mechanical component BOM readiness and procurement activities.
  • Develop, issue and track Purchase Orders and Invoices for NPI materials
  • Communicate directly with PCBA contract manufacturers to monitor material readiness and manage delivery schedules for ECUs.
  • Drive mitigation strategies with component/PCB suppliers and distributors when required to recover build schedules.
  • Create reports to keep the cross-functional teams and engineering leadership up-to-date on material readiness status, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies and help needed.
  • Partner with Technical Program Managers and Eng Operations Program Managers on material readiness process improvements.
  • Coordinate across engineering leads within the Electrical Hardware organization for overall budget development and track invoice status against budget envelope.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects while effectively prioritizing competing demands.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in procurement, logistics, and vendor management.
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Direct experience with custom PCBA BOM procurement and management
  • Direct experience with vendor management and logistics
  • Direct experience with organizational budget management
