Role Summary

The Jr. IT System Admin will be responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology department. This person will focus on the administration of desktop PC's, servers, network equipment, telephony, security/access technologies and related systems operations. The position will provide 3rd level support to resolve problems in a timely and accurate manner

Key Elements of the Role

  • Perform on-site and remote technical support by diagnosing hardware and software problems and replacing defective components
  • Maintains and monitors server operations, server backups, anti-virus compliance, encryption compliance, and network components according to standards and procedures; including incident and service request ticketing.
  • Performs 3rd level technical support for issues escalated from service desk
  • After hours support on a rotational basis

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Technical certifications desirable

Skills & experience

  • Completes assignments as prioritized and directed with minimal supervision 
  • Exhibits solid interpersonal and professional skills 
  • Working knowledge of Server and PC operating systems and Active Directory 
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks, and VOIP telephony 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
