Job description

Lockwood Distilling Company is a family owned neighborhood distillery, tasting room and restaurant. We serve Southern style, chef crafted food in our scratch kitchen. We have our own spirits that include Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Rye, Rum and more! Company culture is very important to us as we enjoy spending time with our work family!

Seeking candidates with Kitchen or BOH support experience. Qualifications may include:

- Experience the kitchen or a restaurant, coffee shop, or other fast casual dining environment

- Trustworthy, Honest and Dependable

- Positive attitude

- Time Management

- Organized

- Able to build, follow and implement proper procedures and policies

- Passion for hospitality industry

- Experience working with and ordering from purveyors (not required)

- Experience with managing food costs, budget and waste management (not required)

Candidate must also have reliable transportation, professional references and no criminal history. This position may be hourly or salary but is full-time.

Ideal candidates should have:

Multiple years experience in the kitchen (not required)

Great attitude, Reliable Transportation and enjoy working with others

Food Handlers certifications

Day to day functions may include:

- Work line, Expo, Grill, Dish or Buss as needed. We are seeking team players!

- Run a position during each shift. Cross train staff.

Job Briefings

Prep Cook:

Doing daily prep by following recipes and protocols for our standard service items. This will also include working the line as we prep during lunch service which tends to be lighter than dinner service. Sometimes there is prep needed while dinner service is running. Flexibility to handle both tasks is key.

Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen - daily and weekly cleaning duties to maintain our kitchens, dish washing and end of shift wrap up.

Line Cook:

Same as above without the prep. Weekend dinner is our busiest time and flow can vary. We have a hot side and cold side and proficiency at both stations are necessary.

Expo:

Weekend evenings will often have EXPO shifts to organize tickets, garnish, add dressings and dipping sauces and sometimes run food.

We have full-time and part-time positions available. Hourly compensation available and we offer a 401K program. Serious inquires only!
