About the Position:

The State Sales Manager will support the Regional Vice President of Sales with respect to the annual sales order solicitation plan. Critical to this role is identifying sales order initiatives, utilizing and allocating sales team resources related to local on- and off-premise spends, point of sale, tastings, menu, and T & E to execute sales order solicitation strategy, and other sales solicitation support activities as necessary.

Our ideal candidate will be ready to become an expert of the Tito’s Handmade Vodka brand and be able to successfully manage all aspects of the sales order solicitation plan execution within their given area.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Effectively interacts and partners with all distributor roles and develop and maintain relationships with all major customers of distributor that purchase Tito’s products and other customers who may in the future purchase Tito’s products in order to drive sales orders to the distributor and ultimately to Tito’s.
  • Manages, coaches, and directs state sales team members with respect to the implementation of the sales order solicitation strategy, including product displays, use of sales-related systems, brand standards, sharing brand story, compliance, and all selling tools such as ‘profit calculator’ and ‘three-part pricing’
  • Monitor sales order goals and distributor-to-retailer/wholesaler sales KPIs and motivate and train distributor sales teams on sales order solicitation strategies for Tito’s Handmade Vodka
  • Solicit and support sales solicitation in the assigned region
  • Sell and execute annual sales order solicitation plans that deliver company goal
  • Oversee execution of local sales order solicitation, addressing opportunities to drive sales orders to the distributor and ultimately to Tito’s
  • Conduct meetings regarding sales order solicitation strategy with distributor team as needed
  • Obtain leads on potential opportunities with on- and off-premise retailer/wholesaler customers of distributor and potential opportunities for fresh regional sales order solicitation programming for purposes of driving sales to and by distributor.
  • Work with distributor to maintain pricing, distributor inventory levels consistent with expected sales arising from the pursuit of sales orders, and sales depletion reporting, and optimize sales of the distributor in designated state(s), as appropriate.
  • Oversee execution of sampling activity to drive sales to the distributor and ultimately to Tito’s and educate third-party demo agencies on sales solicitation of Tito’s products.
  • Any and all additional activities necessary to support sales order solicitation in the region.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of sales management experience; and 10 years of alcohol sales experience reflecting increasing levels of management responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
  • Results driven, enthusiastic & motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Polished Sales & Presentation Skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to provide expert-level insights into more complex channel markets

  • Pricing analysis proficiency
  • Be knowledgeable of Federal and State regulations as they pertain to the sale of alcoholic beverages

  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License, safe driving record and access to a reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
  • Legally able to work in USA
