Job description

VNA Health Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to women across the lifespan. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality reproductive and gynecologic care while promoting health, wellness, and disease prevention in a community-focused setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive women's health assessments and examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gynecologic conditions.
  • Perform routine preventive care, including annual exams and cervical cancer screenings.
  • Provide family planning, contraception counseling, and menopause management.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Educate patients on preventive health and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, certified nurse midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines and VNA Health Care policies.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Illinois APRN license.
  • Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC).
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain).
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
