Visual Product roles focus on designing visual elements that enhance digital products, often involving user experience considerations. Visual Designers primarily create visual assets and layouts for branding, marketing, or digital interfaces. While both roles require strong design skills and portfolios, Visual Product roles emphasize collaboration with product teams and understanding user flows, whereas Visual Designers concentrate on aesthetic and branding elements.

How does a Visual Product professional typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a product development cycle?

Visual Product professionals often work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, engineers, and marketing teams throughout the product development process. They contribute by shaping the visual direction, ensuring that design elements align with product goals and user needs. Regular meetings and design reviews are common, where feedback is shared and iterations are made collaboratively. This collaborative environment fosters creativity and ensures that visual consistency and brand standards are maintained from concept to launch.

What are Visual Product designers?

Visual Product designers are professionals who focus on the aesthetics and user interface of digital products, such as websites and mobile applications. They combine graphic design principles with user experience (UX) strategies to create visually appealing and functional interfaces. Their work includes selecting colors, typography, imagery, and layout to ensure that the product is both attractive and easy to use. Visual Product designers often collaborate closely with UX designers, developers, and product managers to bring a cohesive visual identity to digital products.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Visual Product Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Visual Product Designer, you need expertise in user interface design, visual communication, and a solid understanding of design principles, typically supported by a degree in design or a related field. Proficiency with industry-standard tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with prototyping and design systems is essential. Strong collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills help you effectively translate ideas into engaging, user-centered products. These skills ensure visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly digital experiences that meet both business and user needs.

Job description

About Evertune AI
Evertune is building the first AI discovery platform for modern marketers. As large language models (LLMs) become the go-to source for recommendations - we help brands understand exactly what AI is saying about them, where they stand against competitors, and how to show up more often in AI-powered answers. Our platform turns black-box AI behavior into actionable insights, so marketing teams can make faster, smarter decisions that drive growth.
Founded by leaders who helped scale The Trade Desk into the world's leading ad tech platform, we bring deep expertise in digital advertising, data, and high-growth environments. Now, we're pioneering a new category at the intersection of AI, SEO, and brand strategy.
We raised a $15M Series A led by Felicis Ventures, with support from Eniac, NextView, Roger Ehrenberg, and leaders from OpenAI, Google, Meta, Uber, and more. This gives us the momentum to move faster and build the first enterprise-grade AI marketing suite.
Backed by top-tier VC investors and trusted by forward-thinking brands, we have the resources to scale - but what really defines us is our culture. We move fast, think boldly, and believe the best ideas win regardless of title. If you're excited about shaping the future of how brands grow in the age of AI, you'll thrive here.
Your Team
You'll report directly to our SVP of Product and join Evertune's product design team as the second designer.
This role is intended to complement the strengths already on the team. Our existing team brings deep expertise in UX, data visualization, and information-dense product experiences. We're now looking for a product designer who brings strong digital visual design, UI and branding skills.
Priorities move quickly here - we ship often, revisit direction frequently, and make decisions with new customer and market input every week. The right person will be excited to work hands-on, operate with urgency, and help bring more craft, cohesion, and visual range to the product design team. You must be based in the NYC area and available to work in-office with the team 3x/week at our Flatiron location.
Your Role
As a product designer with a strong visual design sense, you'll work across core areas of our AI discovery platform while also helping shape a more cohesive experience across the product and our primary marketing website, bringing a high bar for UI craft, visual quality, and polish.
You will own our marketing website and our overall visual brand identity, seamlessly extending the user experience from our homepage into our core product suite. You'll work on experiences that sit at the intersection of AI, search, content, and digital visibility - including product information architecture, data dashboards, user workflows, and other user-facing surfaces that help marketers understand and improve how they appear across AI-powered platforms.
You should be excited to get into the details: improving product flows, refining navigation, tightening layouts, raising the visual quality of core interfaces, and helping ensure the overall experience feels cohesive, intuitive, and well-crafted.
Responsibilities
  • Own and improve important areas of Evertune's product experience, with a particular focus on UI craft, visual quality, and overall polish
  • Design high-quality product interfaces across dashboards, workflows, navigation systems, reporting experiences, and other user-facing surfaces
  • Bring greater cohesion to the Evertune experience across product and web, helping evolve a more unified visual language throughout key user touchpoints
  • Improve core product experiences via thoughtful work on flows, navigation, structure, and interaction design
  • Partner closely with product and engineering to turn ideas into clear, compelling, and shippable experiences
  • Bring a high level of craft to the details - typography, iconography, animations, layout, spacing, badges and interaction patterns that make the product feel human-centric, intuitive and well-designed
  • Contribute to both net-new design work and the refinement of existing experiences, helping identify where the product feels inconsistent, clunky, or visually flat
  • Support web and marketing design work where it connects closely to the product experience, broader design system, and overall Evertune brand
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully as part of your design process, including emerging creative and image-generation tools, while applying strong taste and judgment to the output
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership where needed to ensure the product, website, email and slide templates feel thoughtful, polished, and aligned
  • Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, feedback loops are tight, and the team ships often
Requirements
  • 4-7 years of product design experience, ideally at a fast-moving startup or growth-stage technology company
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating clear visual design strength, including polished UI, strong typography, layout, hierarchy, and overall product craft, with clear evidence of visual range, originality, and strong design taste
  • Strong UX instincts and ability to design thoughtful, effective product experiences across flows, navigation, structure, and interaction patterns
  • Experience designing digital products with a high level of attention to detail, consistency, and usability across complex user-facing surfaces
  • Ability to operate across product, web, and marketing design work
  • Experience working closely with product managers and engineers to take ideas from concept through execution and ship high-quality work
  • Strong AI fluency and a clear track record of using AI tools in day-to-day design or creative workflows
  • Hands-on experience using emerging AI design and creative tools, including image generation and concept exploration tools, with strong judgment about when those tools elevate the work versus when they lead to generic output
  • High craft bar and strong visual taste - someone who notices when an interface feels flat, inconsistent, cluttered, under-designed, or not fully resolved
  • Comfortable operating in a high-velocity environment where priorities shift, feedback loops are tight, and the team ships often
  • Based in New York City and available to work in-office 3x/week at our Flatiron location.

Nice to Have
  • Experience designing for AI-native products, analytics tools, or other information-dense software
  • Experience working across both product interfaces and web or marketing experiences within the same role
  • Experience contributing to or extending design systems across multiple surfaces
  • Interest in AI search, digital discovery, content intelligence, or adjacent spaces shaping the future of how brands are found online
  • Experience with Figma and Webflow, and comfortable using data as feedback into the usefulness and impact of their designs
Please note: At this time, we are only able to consider candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. This includes U.S. citizens and Green Card holders.
Culture & Values
