Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Supports Product Managers and Sales in daily activities to drive product line sales and margin growth. This role executes key operational tasks that enable Product Managers to effectively support the business. This role performs core Product Coordinator responsibilities, including loading quotes and supplier contracts, responding to price and delivery requests, maintaining accurate system data, and supporting Product Managers and Sales. A significant portion of this role may be dedicated to Quote Accelerator activities, including coordinating larger RFQs and supporting the large quote process from request through completion. Serves internal customers including sales managers, inside and outside sales, and product managers while building foundational knowledge of products, suppliers, and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of supplier policies, procedures, contacts, and products
  • Respond to price and delivery (P&D) requests from Sales and Product teams
  • Process cross reference requests from sales and Product Managers
  • Manage sample requests and related documentation
  • Load parts and maintain accurate system data
  • Support literature, specifications, and supplier print requests
  • Conduct distributor stock checks and part searches
  • Support quote requests with timely and accurate responses
  • Assist with opportunity tracker administration
  • Perform Quote Accelerator functions by coordinating large RFQ requests between Sales and Product Management, preparing them in Excel format, quoting and uploading the required information into the Quote Accelerator system
  • May be required to maintain a daily log to track open, pending, and completed Quote Accelerator requests and communicate status updates to Sales and Product Management
  • Load vendor quotes and supplier contracts into the appropriate company systems and maintain accurate supporting documentation
  • Update supplier pricing and lead times as needed to support accurate quotes and customer responses
  • Run, sort, and filter reports identifying expired pricing, Ship and Debit agreements, and supplier contracts to support renewals
  • Assist Product Managers with special projects, and related follow up activities
  • Cross train with peers to expand product and supplier knowledge
  • Serve as backup support to Product Managers as needed, including coverage during absences
  • Participate in supplier training sessions with sales and attend training as available

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • 1 year of customer facing or related experience preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Industry experience preferred

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a U.S. Person defined as: U.S. Citizen, Any individual granted U.S. permanent residence, granted status as a "protected person" under 8 U.S.C. 132b (a) (3); corporation/business/organization/group incorporated in the U.S under U.S law; or part of the U.S. government.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel proficiency
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service orientation with responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Foundational business acumen, including understanding of pricing, margin, purchasing, and inventory concepts
  • Problem solving skills with ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
  • Planning and organization skills with ability to execute tasks and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
