Job description

A Product Coordinator supports product development and merchandising management across multiple categories. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is adept at balancing multiple projects simultaneously. You're a proactive, detail-oriented professional who loves seeing products come to life. You excel at coordination, thrive under deadlines, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. This position is part of the Product and Merchandising team at gearUP and reports to the Merchandising Manager
Key responsibilities and duties:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Quarterly PDF Catalog Revisions - Work with the Merchandise Manager to execute design, layout, and proof all product updates to the quarterly gearUP PDF Catalog.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Quarterly Magento Retail Site and Employee Store Maintenance

oย ย  Develop consistent webstore assortment templates for sales team to leverage when building customer webstores.

oย ย  Ensure the gearUP Retail WebStore, gearUP Employee Store, and gearUP sample sites are maintained, accurate, and reflect current Web PDF Catalogs.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Cross-functional leadership and project management working on product workstreams and process improvement.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Work with Art & Marketing Teams to establish a gearUP Digital Asset Management tool to utilize for catalogs and marketing collateral.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Sample Program: Own and lead internal gearUP Sample Program.ย 

oย ย  Sort and organize jersey and apparel samples seasonally.

oย ย  Build tools to manage check-out system.

oย ย  Develop automated feedback/communication loop to the sales team for requests and customer returns.

oย ย  Partner with SalesOps Manager & Sales Support Team to create best practices for sales and business development reps to utilize samples and enable efficiency in request + returns.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Build and maintain decoration guides for all gearUP license styles.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Establish a consumer insight protocol and develop tools to collect information from athletes to inform product creation. Present sport specific consumer insights ahead of seasonal product creation kick-off.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with Sales & Business Development leadership to capture customer insights and common product and assortment needs.ย  This will require seasonal working sessions to identify common themes and create a template to inform product briefs.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Partner with the Merchandising Manager to create quarterly product highlights by Brand and present to the Sales & Business Development teams.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Accountability for product detail data accuracy and conducting quarterly data audits.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Assist Merchandising Manager and Supply Chain Team in quarterly SKU Uploads to ShopVox and F&O.

oย ย  Quarterly price checks/updates, seasonal product lifecycle turnover.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop and maintain seasonal visual product line plans, calendars, and data trackers.ย 

oย ย  Build sales tools:

  • New Style Features & Benefits
  • Price lists

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Research the youth sports industry competitive landscape for market trends, pricing strategies, customization methods and other inputs to inform product strategy, pricing strategy and future customization techniques.ย  Responsible to present the findings to cross-functional leadership on a seasonal basis.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Track samples and ensure timely delivery for sales meetings, photography, and retail launches.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for event and sales meeting curation in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Product teams.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Work with Supply Chain Team to receive quarterly shipments of new products, check for accuracy, and fill-in product gaps that may exist in our support materials (especially key measurements/fits by SKU).

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Skills & Qualities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong skills in Microsoft Office software suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with product management, retail calendars, and global brand standards is preferred

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Canva or other design/visualization tool a plus

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Excellent organizational and communication skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Able to manage multiple fast-track projects

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Understanding of sport and sports channels is a plus

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to take direction and work independently to execute tasks effectively

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  High communication skills for information seeking, tracking, and explaining processes

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience demonstrating strong problem-solving skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience working with ERP systems is preferred

ย ย  ย ย ย Experience & Education:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in merchandising, business, apparel design or a related field

ย ย ย ย  ย ย Minimum of 3 years experience in merchandising operations, product operations and/or project management.

Physical Requirements:
