Job Description

Vuori is looking for an Assistant Store Manager of Product who will play a pivotal role in  the seamless functioning of our retail store through a focus on visual merchandising and product operational excellence.

As an Assistant Store Manager of Product at Vuori, you take full ownership of identifying and resolving product operation challenges in-store, proactively engaging with the General Manager and key retail partners to establish feedback loops that drive continuous improvement and elevate customer experience and visual experience.  You are a high-level business thinker, using reporting analytics and personal business knowledge to proactively plan for product actions and moves. You deeply understand how systems within our business connect to and impact one another. You are agile in your work,  quickly adopting company SOPs and establishing working routines in the store that are both efficient and effective.  You can quickly pivot, adapting your strategic plans and routines to match the most immediate needs of the business.

Beyond operational leadership, you'll champion local community engagement and cultivate meaningful relationships that reflect Vuori's values and lifestyle. You'll inspire and grow high-performing teams, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and empower your people to consistently deliver results across all of our retail priorities.

What You'll Get to Do

Product:

  • Plan for and lead the execution of daily and weekly product operations tasks, including all inbound and outbound product shipments, role-modeling and upholding Vuori's SOPs.
  • Lead and champion the implementation of product operations initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency in inventory management and product handling, consistently driving projects to timely completion and meeting all critical deadlines.
  • Swiftly identify and address product concerns, collaborating with the General Manager and HQ partners for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. 
  • Own and oversee the implementation of visual merchandising initiatives, including new product flips, mannequin looks, in season product management, and overall in-store standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Field Visual Merchandiser to implement and adapt visual merchandising strategies that meet brand standards and seasonal objectives, demonstrating a keen understanding of business trends and customer preferences. 

People:

  • Support the General Manager in promoting a culture of excellence, emphasizing open communication, trust, respect, punctuality, accountability, and commitment to role responsibilities among staff members.
  • Partner with the General Manager to implement hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training, development, engagement strategy for store employees  
  • Champion a safe and healthy work environment by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential hazards or risks, and implementing best practices and safety protocols. 

Customer Experience:

  • Take proactive ownership of the sales floor and sales team to ensure that customer experience remains the top priority, fostering a customer-centric environment where every interaction is meaningful and memorable.
  • Empower employees to make decisions and resolve customer issues independently, while providing guidance and support as needed.

Community:

  • Assist in the implementation of community initiatives. This includes highly effective product promotion, team sweat, and community event strategies that position the store as a destination for both shopping and community involvement. 
  • Represent the Vuori brand while in store and at community events.

Finance & Labor:

  • Assist the General Manager in schedule and labor management, adhering to all company scheduling best practices and applicable local and state labor laws
  • Support payroll efficiency by aligning labor deployment to operational demand and consistently achieving UPH targets through effective scheduling, productivity monitoring, and realtime labor adjustments.
  • Assist in management of store expenses, fully utilizing allocated budget to recognize team performance and drive business results.
Qualifications
  • Available morning and/or evening, work 8 hour shifts, 5 days/week, available at least 1 weekend day.
  • 4+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience, showcasing the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, including expertise in inventory management, visual merchandising principles, and implementation of highly effective sales techniques.
  • Established track record in retail sales leadership, driving sales targets through strategic planning, execution, and team motivation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excelling in the art of coaching, motivating, and mentoring team members to consistently deliver outstanding performance.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, while maintaining a reputation for impeccable punctuality and reliability.
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities that align with Vuori's culture, with a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Commit to upholding Vuori's brand standards and values, promoting sustainability, wellness, and community engagement across all store operations.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including the ability to lift, bend, kneel, and safely climb up/down a ladder, the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds, and the ability to move around the store for extended periods of time

The hourly range for this role is $22/hr - $25/hr, plus team pooled commission.
