The Opportunity

The Assistant Store Manager is a key partner to the Store Manager and an ambassador of EQ3’s brand and customer experience. This role supports day-to-day operations, helps lead a high-performing team, and contributes to a store environment that showcases EQ3’s values of design, quality, and service. The Assistant Store Manager supports business objectives through strong coaching, hands-on leadership, and operational execution, ensuring an inspiring customer experience while maintaining compliance with brand standards and retail procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in the direct leadership and development of store team members, including sales and operations staff, ensuring performance expectations and growth plans are consistently met.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance across the store team.
  • Support store operations by managing KPI performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with Retail Brand Standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager, driving sales floor excellence, creative problem-solving, and a customer-first service experience.
  • Help analyze sales trends and local market insights to implement strategies that drive revenue, reduce shrink, and optimize payroll and operational expenses.
  • Deliver visually inspiring merchandising aligned with seasonal direction and company guidelines to elevate the overall customer experience and reflect EQ3’s design standards.
  • Support weekly business routines including scheduling, reporting, and strategic planning meetings, contributing to the operational health and commercial performance of the store.


Qualifications

  • Previous retail management or supervisory experience with a proven track record of contributing to sales growth, operational efficiency, and team development.
  • Bilingual in French and English, required; strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages are essential for this Brossard, QC location.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated experience coaching teams, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative, customer-centric environment.
  • Knowledge of retail financial management, inventory processes, and visual merchandising standards, with the ability to translate data into actionable in-store strategies.
  • Proficiency with retail systems, POS platforms, and scheduling or reporting tools; comfort working with operational data to support business decisions.
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Retail Management, Design, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
