What is a visual FX artist?

Visual FX (VFX) artists are professionals who create visual effects for films, television, video games, and other media. They use computer software and digital tools to design and manipulate imagery that cannot be achieved during live-action shooting, such as explosions, weather effects, creatures, or futuristic environments. VFX artists work closely with directors and other production staff to seamlessly integrate these effects with live footage, enhancing storytelling and visual impact. Their work is essential in modern entertainment, where imaginative and realistic visuals are in high demand.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a visual FX artist?

To thrive as a Visual FX Artist, you need a solid understanding of visual effects principles, digital compositing, and computer graphics, often supported by a degree in animation, computer graphics, or a related field. Mastery of technical tools such as Adobe After Effects, Autodesk Maya, Nuke, and Houdini, along with familiarity with industry-standard plug-ins, is typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication help you stand out in this collaborative and fast-paced environment. These skills ensure the creation of high-quality, believable visual effects that enhance storytelling and meet production deadlines.

What are some common challenges visual FX artists face when working on collaborative projects?

Visual FX artists often work closely with directors, animators, and other post-production professionals, which can present challenges such as aligning creative visions and managing tight deadlines. Balancing technical constraints with artistic expectations is also a frequent challenge, as artists must ensure effects look realistic while fitting within time and budget limits. Clear communication and adaptability are key in overcoming these hurdles, making collaboration skills just as important as technical expertise for success in this role.

Does visual fx pay well?

The pay for a visual effects artist varies depending on experience, location, and the complexity of projects, but generally, it offers competitive salaries within the entertainment and media industries. Is visual fx a good career?

A career in visual effects (VFX) involves creating digital imagery for film, television, and video games, requiring skills in software such as Adobe After Effects and Nuke. It can be a rewarding field for those with artistic ability and technical proficiency, but it often involves long hours and competitive entry. Success depends on building a strong portfolio, gaining experience, and staying updated with industry tools and trends.

Is visual fx a stressful career?

Working as a visual effects artist can be stressful due to tight deadlines, high client expectations, and the need for precision with software like After Effects or Nuke. Job description

It's about time we reboot commercial finance.

For the past century, business payments have lagged behind the rest of the digital enterprise - held back by fees, fragmented systems, manual workflows, and paper-driven processes.

Paystand was created to change that.

We eliminate transaction fees, digitize the cash cycle, and help businesses create a self-driving money experience across AR, AP, FX, Bitwage, mining, USDb, AI, and emerging global financial infrastructure.

As Paystand enters its next stage of growth, our products, acquisitions, markets, customer base, and global footprint are expanding quickly. We need a senior corporate marketing leader who can turn that complexity into one clear, powerful, market-facing story.

This role is built for a scrappy, resilient, high-agency operator who thrives in disruption, moves quickly through ambiguity, and is energized by helping redefine the future of commercial finance.

Role Mission

The Vice President, Corporate Marketing will serve as a strategic marketing partner to the CEO / Founder and executive team.

This leader will own Paystand's corporate narrative, brand architecture, executive communications, public relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, strategic events, employer brand, customer storytelling, and company-level messaging across the Group.

The mandate is to help Paystand show up as one company across products, geographies, acquisitions, customers, partners, candidates, investors, analysts, and employees.

This role will partner closely with Demand Generation, Product, Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, People, Partnerships, and regional leaders. Demand generation strategy, paid acquisition, funnel conversion, marketing operations, and pipeline outcomes remain owned by the Demand Generation function.

Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Narrative & Brand
  • Develop Paystand's Group-wide brand strategy and corporate narrative across products, acquisitions, geographies, and future business lines.
  • Build a unified messaging architecture connecting AR, AP, FX, Bitwage, mining, USDb, LATAM GTM, AI, customer impact, recruiting, culture, and future growth.
  • Own brand guidelines across messaging, visual identity, voice, events, executive communications, and external-facing materials.
  • Position Paystand as a category-defining leader in B2B payments, financial automation, blockchain-enabled payment infrastructure, agentic finance, stablecoin innovation, and zero-fee commercial finance.
Communications & Executive Visibility
  • Lead corporate communications, PR, analyst relations, thought leadership, social media, content strategy, employer brand, and reputation-building.
  • Partner with the CEO / Founder and executive team on founder thought leadership, global speaking narratives, press opportunities, investor-facing materials, and major external moments.
  • Oversee announcements, analyst briefings, media opportunities, awards, customer stories, keynote narratives, executive content, and company-level campaigns.
Strategic Events & Company Calendar
  • Own the company-level strategy, messaging, and executive preparation for major external and internal events.
  • Build and maintain a centralized company calendar covering conferences, executive speaking opportunities, product moments, recruiting campaigns, Foundation events, annual offsites, customer events, partner activations, culture moments, and major company milestones.
  • Partner with Demand Generation on event-related campaign follow-up, lead capture, nurture, and pipeline conversion where applicable.
  • Ensure major events have a clear audience, message, owner, business purpose, executive prep plan, and measurable follow-up path.
Product & Market Storytelling
  • Connect Paystand's company narrative to product value, buyer pain, market trends, customer outcomes, and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Customer Success, RevOps, Partnerships, and Demand Generation to align ICPs, buyer personas, product messaging, and market-facing narratives.
  • Build market intelligence rhythms across competitive tracking, win/loss insights, customer voice, analyst feedback, category trends, AI, stablecoin, and buyer-behavior shifts.
  • Support product launches through clear messaging, customer proof, executive visibility, internal narrative alignment, and market-facing communication.
Customer & Employer Brand Storytelling
  • Build a customer proof engine that turns customer outcomes into credible assets for Sales, Marketing, Partnerships, Customer Success, PR, analyst relations, investor storytelling, and employee pride.
  • Develop strong fluency in Paystand's buyers, including CFOs, controllers, AR/AP leaders, finance operations teams, ERP partners, and mid-market/enterprise decision-makers.
  • Partner with People and Talent Acquisition on employer-brand messaging, candidate-facing storytelling, recruiting campaigns, and executive talent materials.
  • Strengthen the "Paystand ONE Company" story internally and externally.
AI-Enabled Corporate Marketing
  • Use AI and agentic workflows to improve research, messaging, content development, competitive intelligence, executive communications, event planning, social listening, and brand governance.
  • Establish responsible AI standards for brand quality, factual accuracy, data sensitivity, human review, and secure use of proprietary information.
  • Improve corporate marketing speed, quality, consistency, and leverage through practical AI adoption.
Required Experience
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing leadership experience, preferably in SaaS, fintech, payments, enterprise software, financial technology, or another complex technical category.
  • Experience leading corporate marketing, brand, communications, content strategy, customer storytelling, employer brand, executive visibility, or market positioning.
  • Experience integrating brands, narratives, messaging systems, or marketing functions across multiple entities, acquisitions, business units, or geographies.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technology into clear, commercially compelling market narratives.
  • Experience partnering with founders, CEOs, or executive teams on company narrative, thought leadership, launches, investor-facing materials, strategic events, and market-facing messaging.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and executive communication judgment.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools and a practical point of view on how AI and agents improve marketing speed, quality, and leverage.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in fintech, B2B payments, blockchain, ERP ecosystems, AR/AP automation, FX, global payments, financial services, or CFO-facing SaaS.
  • Experience leading brand unification, post-acquisition marketing integration, or multi-product narrative development.
  • Experience supporting executive speaking opportunities, conferences, customer events, partner activations, or company-wide internal events.
  • Spanish fluency or strong professional Spanish proficiency preferred to support LATAM business priorities, regional GTM execution, partner communications, and collaboration across Spanish-speaking teams.
  • Experience supporting LATAM markets, Mexico GTM, cross-border payments, regional partner ecosystems, or multilingual marketing programs preferred.
Skills & Mindset
  • Founder-level partnership and executive communication judgment.
  • Strong corporate narrative, brand, and storytelling instincts.
  • Scrappy builder mentality with high ownership and low ego.
  • High EQ, resilience, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Strong commercial grounding without owning demand generation.
  • AI-first mindset and practical adoption of agentic workflows.
  • Ability to move quickly, simplify complexity, and operate at Paystand pace.
