Your Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Promotions Specialist (SPS) is responsible for implementation and coordination of strategic national and regional tradeshows, conferences, and events; sponsorships; advertising; and campaigns. A key deliverable is to meet event-specific objectives while highlighting the Stantec brand as effectively as possible. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and enjoys working with different personality styles and management levels, across the North America geography.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Tradeshows/Conferences/Events

• Works closely with practice leadership to implement annual strategic tradeshows, conferences, and events with the goal of promoting Stantec's brand awareness
• Aligns messaging and graphics with Company standards, specifically Stantec's brand guidelines
• Serves as a key contact for tradeshow/event-related inquiries for the Buildings business line
• Provides guidance on process and available tradeshow/event support services
• Works with internal stakeholders to develop and coordinate the implementation of an annual strategic tradeshow/event plan
• In partnership with a visual communication designer, identify and develop collateral material and visual displays in support of building Stantec's brand awareness
• Facilitates the delivery and set-up of all materials, including tradeshow exhibits, presentations, and print/electronic promotional materials in accordance with agreed upon schedule and established service level agreements
• Coordinate/purchases promotional merchandise as appropriate, including client giveaways
• Understands related costs/timelines for materials development and purchase and, shipping to assist in budgeting
• Tracks, analyses, and reports on all tradeshows, conferences, and events, including deliverables and budgets, as required
• Updates and maintains promotional database of tradeshows, conferences, and events (including post conference debrief forms) to influence future participation
• Supports Corporate and Buildings BOU campaigns in partnership with marketing/PR/digital team members through a range of promo activities, approaches, and programs; strategic conferences, client events, and sponsorships
• Serves as a key contact for sponsorship-related inquiries for the Buildings business line.
o Provides guidance on process and available sponsorship support services
o Assists in developing an annual promotions business plan
o In partnership with the Public Relations Manager, assists in developing a communications plan, including both traditional and on-line media
o In partnership with a visual communication designer, identifies and develops sponsorship related materials in support of building Stantec's brand awareness
o Tracks, analyses, and reports on all sponsorship activity, including deliverables and budgets, as required
o Assists in tracking sponsorships, including post sponsorship debrief forms to influence future participation
  • Serves as the key contact for advertising-related inquiries

o Provides guidance on process and available advertising support services
o Assists in the development and implementation of an annual strategic advertising plan
o In partnership with a visual communication designer, develops copy and identifies imagery for all local/regional advertisements
o Tracks, analyses, and reports on all advertising initiatives, including deliverables and budgets, as required
o Assists in tracking advertisements, including recommendations on future participation

Education/Experience:
• Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, journalism, business, or related area
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a work environment related to Stantec's sectors, or a marketing-related field

Pay Range:
• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$86,600.00 - $125,500.00 Annually
• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$99,200.00 - $143,800.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
