Visual Designer
Visual Merchandiser of Store Sets
Hourly Position: Monday through Friday
This position is based out of the Maplewood location
Bachman's is committed to creating a caring environment while inspiring a passion for bringing beauty to life.
Bachman's has an opening for a Visual Merchandiser. The visual merchandiser creates inspiration and ideas for customers through enhanced displays. The visual merchandiser services and maintains stores to ensure effective product presentation in accordance with Bachman's image, resulting in maximum product sales.
Job Duties:
General direction given by Visual Merchandising Manager/Supervisor to determine the most effective and efficient means of displaying product that is consistent with Bachman's image.
  • Create inspiring displays to support the season and the merchandise
  • To ensure Bachman's stores always look their best and that displays and presentations are being maintained.
  • Plan, prepare, install, remerchandise, restock and organize store displays and work on special projects.
  • Advise store management of routine needs of the store such as needing cleaning, light bulb changes, areas needing additional merchandising work, etc.
  • Advise Manager -Visual Merchandising of store needs and problems affecting the appearance of the store or product presentation.
  • Help maintain an orderly and clean display work and storage area.
  • Quarterly travel to all stores to assist in seasonal changes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years Visual Merchandising experience desired.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate many projects at one time
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written)
  • Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised, independently and demonstrates strong leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize daily schedule and identify those areas of store that need the most attention
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Present themselves professionally to co-workers and customers
  • Ability to perform manual skills, such as painting, sewing, ladder climbing, etc.

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

Compensation: $17.46/hr - $18.50/hr
