Job description

Position: Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
Department: School of Engineering
Status: Full Time
This position will teach 3 electrical engineering courses each semester (currently expected to be ENGR 260, Circuits; ELEC 395, Digital System Design; and ELEC 450 Telecommunications Principles, for the Fall 2026 semester. ELEC 375, Signals and Systems; ELEC 480, Artificial Intelligence; and ELEC 490, Actuators and Sensors for the Spring 2026 Semester.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review course materials and approaches and implement effectively.
  • Meet classes as scheduled.
  • Meet deadlines as established by the School of Engineering and Campbell University.
  • Evaluate and assess student performance.
  • Post grades accurately and respond promptly to grade determination.
  • This position demands accuracy, honesty, integrity and the ability to work within the Christian mission of Campbell University.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university is required.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with University trustees, faculty, staff, and students, as well as members of the business community and public at large.

  • Work independently, as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people.
