Job Description
The Home Visitation (HV) Support Technician will implement the Home Instruction of Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) model by maintaining a caseload of 20 families or more as required by grant. Responsibilities include executing the HIPPY curriculum with parents of preschoolers, role playing the curriculum and meeting with assigned families each week, participating in the planning and facilitation of group
meetings, supplying an enrichment activity, participating in weekly in-service training and other staff development activities, and informing the HIPPY coordinator of child/family progress and related issues and concerns. Timely compliance with HIPPY USA grant, caseload, and other documentation is critical.
Education Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. National Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or Associates Degree in Child Development preferred

Experience:
  1. Experience working with young children in a group setting preferred

Program Management:
  1. Assist with creating activities and materials for both the HIPPY Model program, as well as learning areas and the model classroom at the ESA 2 to meet best practices and health requirements
  2. Assist with communication related to activities and promotion of the ESC 2
  3. Assist with the instructional units creation, packaging, delivery preparation, and inventory maintenance
  4. Complete daily tasks required by the job
  5. The HV Support Technician is required to participate in all HIPPY sponsored activities such as field trips, graduations, award ceremonies, professional development, and all other related activities to support the position and grant requirements.
  6. Assist consultants in preparation of materials and professional development trainings
  7. Demonstrate the ability to lead small groups of young students in learning areas
  8. Availability to work extended hours of operation for the ESC 2 when needed
  9. Maintain program inventory
  10. Participate in the planning and facilitation of group meetings
  11. Assist with program goals and activities of the ESC 2
  12. Meet with assigned families each week
  13. Supply enrichment activities
  14. Inform the HIPPY coordinator of child/family progress and related issues and concerns
  15. Timely compliance with HIPPY USA grant, caseload, and other documentation is critical
  16. Role play the HIPPY curriculum
  17. Execute the HIPPY curriculum with parents of preschoolers
  18. Maintain a caseload of up to 20 families or as determined by grant requirements
  19. Perform other duties as assigned
