Description:

Indian Rocks Church is seeking a dynamic, relational, and vision-driven Campus Pastor to lead a future campus. The Campus Pastor serves as the primary spiritual leader, face, and shepherd of the local congregation. This role is responsible for recreating the culture and ministry excellence of Indian Rocks in the Pinellas County community. The ideal candidate will build and lead volunteer teams, provide pastoral care, drive community outreach, teach the Bible effectively, and ensure the campus perfectly aligns with the overall mission, vision, and values of Indian Rocks Church.

Essential Functions:

  • Campus Leadership: Serve as the primary pastoral presence and face of the campus for Sunday services and all other ministries.
  • Team Building & Discipleship: Recruit, train, and develop volunteer leadership teams for all campus ministries (e.g., Guest Services, Indian Rocks Kids, Student Ministry, Production, and Connection Groups).
  • Teaching the Bible: While the lead pastor may begin as the primary communicator for this campus, the campus pastor should be able to take over primary teaching responsibilities when asked to do so.
  • Services: Oversee the execution of weekly worship experiences, ensuring they are welcoming, engaging, and run with excellence. Seamlessly integrate teaching from the Lead Pastor.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual guidance, biblical counseling, hospital visitation, and crisis support to members of the campus. Officiate weddings and funerals as needed.
  • Community Outreach: Build relationships with local leaders, schools, and organizations. Drive evangelism and community service initiatives tailored to the specific needs of the area.
  • Vision Alignment: Work closely with central church leadership to ensure the campus aligns fully with the global mission, vision, branding, and strategies of Indian Rocks Church.
  • Administration: Oversee the campus budget, track key growth metrics (attendance, giving, salvations, baptisms), and participate in regular central staff meetings.
Requirements:

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, Ministry, or a related field (Master’s degree or Seminary training is highly preferred).
  • 3 to 5+ years of pastoral or ministry leadership experience, preferably within a multi-site church environment or church plant.
  • Ordained or eligible for ordination.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
  • High emotional intelligence with a shepherd’s heart for pastoral care and counseling.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of recruiting, equipping, and empowering volunteers.
  • Ability to execute administrative and operational tasks with a high degree of organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team-oriented, and fast-paced environment.

Church Membership & Lifestyle Expectations

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the; the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by; regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.
