JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Analyst supports the district's hiring strategy by coordinating recruitment processes, analyzing workforce data, and facilitating the hiring of both domestic and international candidates. This role ensures efficient, compliant hiring practices while supporting the full recruitment lifecycle and enhancing the candidate experience.
The Analyst also manages visa sponsorship and immigration processes, serving as a liaison with legal and external partners to ensure compliance. Through data-driven insights and operational support, this position helps strengthen the district's ability to attract and hire a diverse, high-quality workforce aligned to organizational priorities.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment & Hiring Support:
• Support Recruitment Coordinators in full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, applicant screening and interview scheduling
• Assist in developing recruitment strategies to attract high-quality, diverse talent
• Partner with Recruitment Coordinators to understand staffing needs and ensure quality applicants are provided to hiring managers
• Assist with maintaining and updating applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate data
• Support hiring events such as job fairs, information sessions, and recruitment initiatives
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal hiring regulations
2. Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Analyze recruitment metrics (new applications, applicant flow, hire conversions, etc.)
• Prepare regular reports and complete dashboards for Talent Team and HR Leadership
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance recruitment efficiency

3. Visa Processing & International Hiring
• Coordinate visa sponsorship processes (e.g., H-1B, J-1, etc.) for international hires.
• Serve as liaison between HISD, legal counsel, and external agencies on immigration matters.
• Track visa timelines, renewals, and compliance requirements
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to federal immigration laws and policies
• Provide guidance to international candidates regarding onboarding and employment eligibility
4. Onboarding & Compliance
• Support onboarding processes, including background checks, employment verification, and documentation
• Ensure all new hire paperwork meets compliance standards, including I-9 verification
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and candidate information
5. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional certifications or advanced degrees may be preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role or field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
Experience with visa processing or immigration support preferred
Experience in K-12 education preferred
