Job Description

The Director, Visa Accept GTM & Commercialization, is responsible for driving the adoption, activation, and commercial growth of Visa Accept across global markets. This role partners closely with Regional Product, Sales, Partnerships, Solutioning, Pricing, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to translate Visa Accept capabilities into scalable client deployments and revenue-generating opportunities.

The role will focus on regional product and client activations, strategic partnerships with Big Tech and marquee clients, bespoke solutioning for complex opportunities, and delivery of commercial and pricing frameworks. Success requires strong payments and commercialization expertise, executive-level stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively across global, matrixed teams.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to use emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to support business planning, client engagement, commercialization, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute Visa Accept GTM and commercialization strategy across priority regions, markets, and client segments.
  • Partner with regional teams to drive client activation, market launch readiness, implementation tracking, and post-launch optimization.
  • Lead strategic engagement with Big Tech companies, marquee merchants, fintechs, wallets, platforms, and ecosystem partners.
  • Develop bespoke client solutions by aligning client requirements with Visa Accept product capabilities, solution architecture, operating models, and commercial objectives.
  • Partner with Product, Solutioning, Engineering, and Client Services to support complex client opportunities and implementation models.
  • Drive commercial and pricing delivery, including business cases, pricing constructs, revenue models, fee structures, and client-specific economics.
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Finance, Legal, and Regional teams to support commercial approvals, negotiations, and market rollout.
  • Build scalable GTM assets, activation playbooks, client pitch materials, and regional enablement content.
  • Track pipeline, client activation progress, transaction growth, revenue performance, and market adoption metrics.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders and present commercialization progress, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience in creating vision statements and setting product goals.
  • Experience in defining product strategy.
  • Experience in product design.
  • Experience in customer discovery and the design of new products based on that discovery.
  • Experience in product execution.
  • Experience in defining and leading plans to achieve product goals.
  • Experience working in Agile frameworks and matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in process or core banking best practices.
  • Experience recruiting, growing, retaining, and leading technical talent.
  • Experience collaborating in global, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to forecast business trends.
  • Senior product management experience in Digital, Payments, and Financial Services.
  • Proven track record of launching and managing digital products for issuers.
  • Deep background in issuing institutions and managing large card portfolios.
  • Experience in developing or launching new solutions and managing engagement, UX, and UI transformation.
  • Experience leading difficult deal negotiations and managing third-party vendors.
  • Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual rigor.
  • Experience managing diverse teams with positive records.


Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $192,300.00 to $ 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
