• Provide comprehensive individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing telemedicine technology to engage meaningfully with clients.
• Assess and evaluate client needs and concerns, crafting tailored treatment plans that address specific issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
• Encourage clients and their families to explore and develop skills necessary to confront their challenges in constructive ways.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to help clients articulate their feelings and behaviors and promote positive coping strategies.
• Document sessions accurately and maintain compliance with ethical and legal standards in therapy practices.

As a therapist with Calming Motion Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, life transitions, and other related concerns. Your expertise will be crucial in helping these clients navigate their emotional landscapes, improve their mental health, and achieve personal growth. A commitment to understanding each client’s unique context is vital for tailoring approaches that foster meaningful change.

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Active LMFT licensure in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience as a Marriage and Family Therapist, demonstrating effective therapeutic techniques and outcomes.
• Ability to navigate technology proficiently, including video conferencing tools; prior telemedicine experience is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of mental health diagnosis, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic best practices.

• Experience in working with family systems and relationship dynamics.
• Adeptness in addressing complex emotional issues, particularly within the realms of anxiety, grief, and life changes.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Family Systems Therapy.
