Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, facilitating healing and fostering a therapeutic alliance.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans to track patient development and ensure quality care.
• Develop tailored treatment strategies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and medical professionals, to provide holistic treatment for clients.
• Responsible for ongoing client assessment and adjustment of treatment plans based on individual progress, data-driven insights, and feedback.
• Develop and facilitate psychoeducation groups aimed at enhancing client's coping strategies and resilience skills.
• Stay updated on best practices, new therapeutic techniques, and changes in legislation impacting mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Calming Motion Therapy, Inc., you will work primarily with individuals facing acute mental health challenges, including those with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, and other complexities. Your role is vital in providing them with the necessary therapeutic support to stabilize their conditions and improve their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A valid Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, along with an active LMHC license.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in mental health settings, preferably working with children or adolescents.
• Proficient understanding of various therapeutic techniques, including grief counseling, and knowledge in addressing addiction issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to communicate effectively and empathize with diverse client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in outpatient settings or community mental health.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms.
• Experience in leading workshops or group therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between USD 100,000 to 105,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
