Business Systems Analyst
Company Corporate - Houston, TX 77054
Position Type: Full Time

Description
TNT Crane & Rigging is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise platform initiatives and broader business systems strategy across shared service functions, including Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, and other corporate operational systems. This role serves as the strategic bridge between business operations and technology, ensuring that functional requirements are translated into scalable system configurations, standardized processes, reporting capabilities, and sustainable adoption practices.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience participating in medium to large-scale enterprise system programs and understands the organizational change, data governance, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination required to execute them successfully.
This position works closely with stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT to align business processes with enterprise system capabilities, strengthen data integrity, improve operational efficiencies, and drive system adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Alignment & Systems Strategy
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, and operational leadership teams to gather, document, and validate business requirements, translating them into functional specifications and system solutions.
  • Facilitate process harmonization across departments to reduce redundancy, improve efficiency, and increase standardization.
  • Support enterprise platform initiatives including system evaluations, vendor demonstrations, fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and requirements validation sessions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure system functionality aligns with operational and strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, reporting improvements, workflow optimization, and operational scalability across shared service functions.

Data Stewardship & Data Quality
  • Lead data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and master data governance activities across Finance, HR, Payroll, and operational data domains.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to define data standards, naming conventions, governance policies, and reporting consistency.
  • Perform data quality audits and coordinate remediation efforts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Support data validation, migration, reconciliation, and reporting activities tied to system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.

Training & Change Enablement
  • Design, develop, and deliver training materials including user guides, quick-reference documents, process documentation, video walkthroughs, and instructor-led training content.
  • Conduct training sessions - both in-person and virtual - for users at all organizational levels.
  • Serve as a trusted business systems resource for end users, supporting adoption, process consistency, and operational readiness.
  • Assist with organizational change management efforts related to enterprise system enhancements and process transformation initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Finance, Accounting, HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT to ensure technology initiatives align with business priorities.
  • Synthesize input from diverse stakeholder groups to drive consensus on process standardization, reporting requirements, and system configuration decisions.
  • Prepare and present status updates, findings, recommendations, and business impact analyses to leadership, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles, document defects and feedback, and track issue resolution through completion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required
  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems within Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, or other shared service operational functions.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes including GL, AP/AR, budgeting, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, supporting system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and end-user adoption efforts.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and interpret queries for data analysis, validation, reporting, and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP, HCM, Payroll, financial, or enterprise operational platforms.
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, HRIS, UKG, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of HR and Payroll processes including employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, workforce management, and compliance reporting.
  • Prior experience in multi-entity or multi-department organizations undergoing systems improvements.
  • Familiarity with data management methodologies, data mapping, integrations, reporting tools, and ETL concepts.
  • Prior experience in multi-entity, multi-location, or rapidly growing organizations undergoing systems modernization or operational transformation initiatives.

Education & Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) - IIBA.
