Job description

DNV is seeking a Product Manager to lead a portfolio of power forecasting products used by energy operators, traders, and asset owners globally.

These products deliver high-accuracy solar and wind power forecasts, leveraging advanced physics-based models, machine learning, and global weather data to enable better operational, trading, and planning decisions.

This role combines end-to-end product ownership with a strong focus on AI-led product innovation, including the evolution of forecasting workflows into AI-native and agentic experiences.

You will operate at the intersection of:

  • Renewable energy systems 
  • Data science and machine learning 
  • API-first digital products 
  • AI-enabled workflow automation

What You'll Do

  • Product Ownership & Strategy 
  • Own product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for power forecasting products 
  • Define and execute product strategy aligned with customer needs and market dynamics 
  • Drive commercial performance, including pricing, packaging, and positioning


 

Product Development 
 

  • Identify and deliver novel power forecasting capabilities that leverage the best of physical and AI modeling techniques to deliver unique customer value 
  • Design and implement agentic workflows that automate forecasting, diagnostics, and optimization tasks 
  • Translate new AI/ML capabilities into clear, scalable product features and user value 
  • Partner with data science teams on model development, validation, and performance monitoring from inception to full commercialization

Execution & Delivery 
 

  • Manage product backlogs, releases, and priorities in collaboration with engineering teams 
  • Define requirements and acceptance criteria; lead product validation and iteration 
  • Use data and experimentation to continuously improve product performance

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement 
 

  • Conduct customer discovery and workflow analysis 
  • Engage directly with customers to understand operational and trading use cases 
  • Support go-to-market activities, including sales enablement and product positioning


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate across engineering, data science, UX, and commercial teams 
  • Align stakeholders and drive execution across a distributed, global organization 
  • Contribute to best practices for product management within GDP 
     

What is required 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, atmospheric science, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of product management experience in digital, data, or SaaS products 
  • Experience managing products across the full lifecycle 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in data-driven environments 
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in engineering, data science, atmospheric science, or a related field 
  • Experience in renewable energy, power markets, or forecasting domains 
  • Experience with APIs, data platforms, or developer-focused products 
  • Working knowledge of machine learning concepts and AI-driven product development 

An AI Product Mindset 

  • Experience or strong interest in AI-powered products and workflows 
  • Exposure to agentic tools or workflow automation systems is strongly preferred
