Opportunity:
MRI Technologist - MRI
Job Details:
• Perform MRI services for inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients
• Primarily adult-focused population with pediatric patients seen only if able to cooperate and hold still
• Operate Siemens Sola 1.5T scanner for extremity, brain, and spine imaging
• Operate Siemens Skyra 3T scanner for prostate, abdomen, pelvis, and MRCP imaging
• Less common scans such as breast and cardiac avoided on weekends unless tech is comfortable
• Utilize Deep Resolve AI software to help reduce scan times
• Use EPIC EMR and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS systems
• Perform peripheral IV starts with IV contrast injection skills
• Conduct implant workups and follow policies for implant screenings
• Apply basic MR principles, practices, and MR safety protocols
• Work alongside typically 2 MRI techs and 1 imaging patient assistant running two scanners per shift
• Lead tech available Monday through Friday; weekend staff works mostly independently
• Virtual radiologist support available 24/7 via phone or Teams
• On-call responsibilities required with department rotation shared equally among 8 techs with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend rotation required once per month for non-weekend roles or every weekend for weekend role
• 1-2 orientation shifts required
• No floating to other departments
• Scrub color: Any
• Free parking available
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-MR or ARMRIT
• 1-2 years of experience required; outpatient experience accepted with strong exam mix skill set
• Strong and recent Siemens 1.5T and 3T experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with significant and recent Siemens experience

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 74 beds, offering comprehensive imaging services including MRI capabilities. The department is well-supported with imaging patient assistants and transporters staffed on weekends to assist with patient care, room turnover, and unit efficiency. The facility utilizes advanced technology including AI-assisted imaging software and maintains 24/7 virtual radiologist support to ensure quality patient care around the clock.
