Temporary Recruiter (90-Day Assignment)

Position Summary
Spencer Construction is seeking a motivated and organized Temporary Recruiter to support our high-volume hiring efforts for a 90-day assignment. This position will focus on recruiting skilled craft professionals for heavy civil construction projects, including Heavy Equipment Operators, Laborers, CDL Drivers, Foremen, Mechanics, and other field positions. The ideal candidate is experienced in full-cycle recruiting, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively manage multiple openings while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source qualified candidates using job boards, social media, databases, referrals, and other recruiting methods.
  • Review applications and screen candidates to determine qualifications.
  • Conduct phone and virtual interviews for craft and field positions.
  • Verify employment history and conduct professional reference checks.
  • Guide candidates through the application and hiring process.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.
  • Extend employment offers and communicate pre-employment requirements.
  • Create, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
