Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator / Microsoft Cloud Engineer with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365 GCC High, Microsoft Azure, virtualization, identity and access management, automation, and enterprise data center technologies.
In this role, you will design, implement, administer, secure, and optimize enterprise-level solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 GCC High, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Azure services. You will support infrastructure modernization initiatives, cloud migrations, security enhancements, and compliance requirements while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical enterprise systems.
The successful candidate is a strategic and hands-on technical leader with experience delivering secure, highly available infrastructure solutions while driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across hybrid IT environments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer the Microsoft 365 GCC High environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
  • Design, implement, and support hybrid infrastructure solutions leveraging both on-premises and cloud technologies.
  • Architect, deploy, and administer identity and access management solutions utilizing Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, App Services, and related services.
  • Implement and support Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities, including Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Design, deploy, and manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Administer enterprise infrastructure technologies including Cisco UCS, HPE Nimble Storage, HPE SimpliVity, and related data center solutions.
  • Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions utilizing Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Maintain and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services.
  • Support and enhance collaboration platforms including SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including maintenance, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity while implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive measures.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams to implement security best practices and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
  • Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities across Microsoft 365 and on-premises environments.
  • Implement and manage endpoint security and compliance utilizing Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Intune.
  • Support multi-factor authentication solutions including Cisco Duo and Microsoft authentication technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual frameworks including CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and applicable DoD requirements.
  • Assist with infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor system utilization and recommend improvements to optimize performance, user experience, and cost efficiency.
  • Stay current on emerging Microsoft technologies and industry best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during planned maintenance windows and critical incidents.
  • Support enterprise infrastructure across multiple locations as required.

Required Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 GCC High environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365 security capabilities.
  • Experience supporting VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • Experience administering enterprise backup solutions, preferably Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with on-premises to cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% to support enterprise operations across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).
  • Experience with Cisco technologies including Meraki, Cisco ISE, Cisco Secure Access, and Cisco UCS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, and eDiscovery.
  • Experience supporting CMMC Level 2 assessments and DoD compliance initiatives.
  • Experience in defense manufacturing or government contracting environments.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, and automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and vulnerability management tools.
