Within Health Counseling Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated Virtual Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time role allows you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues by providing remote therapy services. You'll play a pivotal role in helping clients regain control over their lives while working from the comfort of your home in Oxnard, California.

The role is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technology to provide therapy sessions to clients across California. You will have access to a range of digital tools and platforms that enable seamless communication with clients and coordination with other healthcare professionals. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance while still meeting the needs of our clients.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Provide specialized support for clients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related issues in a structured therapy format.
• Maintain organized and accurate client records that align with industry standards, specifically ICD-9 coding.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Engage with clients' family members as needed to help strengthen relationships and enhance the therapeutic process.
• Utilize feedback and progress tracking to continuously refine therapeutic approaches and improve client outcomes.

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will work primarily with adults facing a variety of mental health challenges, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and behavioral issues. This role requires a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
• Must hold an active California mental health license (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy and managing cases in a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques including CBT, ABA, and other relevant methodologies.
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the needs of a diverse clientele.
• Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear interactions with clients and team members.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred.
• Experience working within a telehealth environment is advantageous.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation practices is preferred.
• A background in managing trauma-focused treatments and supporting families is beneficial.
