Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to gather information about their mental health history and current concerns.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients in their healing journey while employing techniques tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide ongoing support for clients dealing with PTSD, fostering a safe space for them to share their experiences and challenges.
  • Coordinate care effectively by connecting clients to external resources, ensuring they receive comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and therapy sessions following ICD-9 standards, ensuring all records are up-to-date and confidential.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of counselors and health professionals to enhance the overall quality of care and support provided to clients.
  • Engage with families during counseling sessions to help strengthen familial relationships and create a cohesive support network.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with mental health challenges, including children, families, and those affected by PTSD. You will engage with a diverse client base, providing culturally sensitive care and leveraging your skills to build rapport and foster trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
  • An active license to practice in California as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience providing therapy and case management services within an outpatient setting.
  • Experience and familiarity with CBT, ABA, or similar therapeutic models are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively connect with diverse patient populations, particularly children and families.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills necessary for delivering effective therapy and managing client relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working in a virtual therapy setting is a plus, as it involves specific skill sets related to remote client engagement.
  • Background in trauma-informed care and proven success in helping clients with PTSD is highly desirable.
  • Ability to apply different counseling techniques based on client needs and progress, showcasing versatility in therapeutic approaches.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time role ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
