Job description

Mihlfeld & Associates is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to schedule qualified virtual meetings for our Account Management Team.Your mission is simple: turn conversations into qualified virtual meetings.This is a full-time outbound business development position focused on creating qualified sales opportunities. You'll contact business professionals through both our customer referral program and outbound cold prospecting efforts to introduce Mihlfeld & Associates and schedule virtual first-time meetings with our Account Managers.Success in this role comes from making a high volume of outbound business calls, confidently overcoming objections, and converting conversations into scheduled appointments. If you enjoy spending your day on the phone, overcoming objections, achieving measurable goals, and being rewarded for your performance, you'll thrive in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesOutbound Calling: Complete 25 hours of active calling time, which represents approximately 2,500 business-to-business outbound dials each week. Calling is completed at our office in Springfield.Appointment Setting: Overcome objections and schedule qualified, first-time virtual meetings for the Account Management Team.Call Performance: Follow established scripts, objection-handling approaches, and messaging while consistently achieving weekly activity and meeting goals.Conversation-to-Meeting Goal: Maintain a minimum 3% conversion rate between conversations and scheduled meetings.Meeting Goal: Schedule an average of 8 qualified virtual meetings per week during the initial phase of the program, increasing to approximately 12 meetings per week as the Account Management Team expands.Prospect Follow-Up: Send follow-up emails and maintain professional communication with prospective clients.Data Management: Accurately record call activity, notes, follow-up actions, and outcomes in HubSpot CRM.Marketing Support: Prepare and mail brochures and other marketing materials to prospective clients.Performance GoalsCall Activity: Complete 25 hours of active calling each week, approximately 2,500 outbound dials.Conversation-to-Meeting Goal: Maintain a minimum 3% conversion rate between qualified conversations and scheduled meetings.Initial Meeting Goal: Schedule 8 qualified virtual meetings per week during the initial phase of the program.Future Meeting Goal: Progress toward 12 qualified virtual meetings per week as the Account Management Team expands.Appointment Skills: Professionally overcome objections and confidently ask for the appointment.CRM Accuracy: Accurately document all prospect activity, notes, and outcomes in HubSpot CRM.The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment and possesses the following qualities:Phone-Focused: Enjoys spending much of the workday making outbound business calls.Confident Communicator: Builds rapport, handles objections professionally, and confidently asks for the appointment.Persistent: Maintains a positive, professional approach when navigating challenges or hearing “no.”Goal-Oriented: Is competitive, motivated by measurable results, and energized by performance-based bonuses.Dependable and Accountable: Is organized, follows through on commitments, and takes ownership of individual performance.Self-Starter: Works independently and manages time effectively.Tech Proficient: Is comfortable using HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Office, email, and other business technology.Growth-Minded: Is motivated by the opportunity to contribute directly to company growth.Compensation and BenefitsMihlfeld & Associates, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE), dedicated to fostering a positive workplace environment and promoting a healthy work-life balance for all employees.
