Schedule: Weekend Shift: Starts Friday @ 5PM through Monday @ 8AM ย

As a On-Call RN You will:ย ย 

  • Deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to their families during after-hours, on an on-call basisย 
  • Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionatelyย 
  • Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider ordersย 
  • Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessaryย 
  • Offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and anticipating the next stepsย 
  • If a death occurs during on-call hours, the RN will go to the home or facility to pronounce death, provide support to the family, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice teamย ย 
  • Complete timely documentation and communicationย ย

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operationย 
  • One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferredย 
  • Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferredย

  • Commitment to clinical and documentation excellenceย 
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working orderย
