Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Registered Nurse licensed in Alabama to join our team. You will collaborate with our AL licensed telehealth physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of MAT Medical-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disporder as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude. While most of our services are fully virtual, this position will be in-person in our Birmingham, Alabama office, working with an onsite medical receptionist.
We are looking for either part-time or full-time hours, and are offering this position as a 1099 (contract) or W2 (full time employee) role.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional in-person care, including taking and recording vital signs, patient assessments, and medical history reviews.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, building therapeutic provider-patient relationships.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Communicate clearly and directly with patients; provide emotional support to patients and family members under stress
  • Fill out and update patient documents and charts
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, experienced nurses, and a dedicated support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain appropriate medical documentation to support continuity of care.
  • Stay up to date with medical advancements, telehealth innovation, and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ABN)
  • Experience treating patients in in-person settings.
  • Ability to schedule and work at least 35 hours in-person per week
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to medical excellence.
  • Comfort using telemedicine platforms and EMRs (training provided).
