Job description

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to join our thriving Cancer and Infusion Center in beautiful Mendocino County, CA. New graduates are welcome to apply! This is a rare opportunity to work near the redwoods and Northern California Coastline just north of San Francisco in Ukiah, CA with an outstanding team, which currently has several advanced practice providers and a Hematologist/Oncologist Physician. Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is a teaching hospital, with a Full Spectrum Rural Family Medicine residency program Adventist Health Ukiah Valley (ahfamilyresidency.org). Medical Staff are invited and expected to support the training of residents through Didactics and Applied Clinical Practice.

  • Typical outpatient oncology and hematology setting.
  • Competitive compensation with guaranteed salary for 2 years plus RVU based reimbursement and benefits package
  • Annual Metric Bonus
  • Recent expansion that will include 15 infusion chairs
  • Shared call, with light call burden
  • Hospital-based outpatient clinic next door to the hospital, inpatient consults 1-2 per week, no inpatient chemotherapy
  • 5 weeks PTO, generous CME reimbursement
  • In-house tumor board (breast, general) and inter-hospital virtual tumor board
  • Dedicated breast cancer navigator, RN coordinator, financial counselor, specialty pharmacy personnel, social worker.
  • MRI, PET, radiation oncology, advanced GI with EUS/ERCP, pulmonology with bronchoscopy available in hospital.

Wage Scale: $475,000-560,000

About the Medical Center:

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley (AHUV) is part of the North Coast Network of Adventist Health, which includes two acute care facilities, three critical access medical centers and a center for behavioral health. AHUV is a faith- based, not- for- profit health and wellbeing organization located in the county seat of Mendocino County, operated as a 49- bed hospital with 735 associates, 167 medical staff members and 18 affiliated clinics offering both specialty and primary care services to Mendocino County and surrounding Lake County communities. Our new emergency department operates with a physician on duty 24- hours a day and is designated as a level IV trauma center. Nestled in the Ukiah Valley, Ukiah is a mid-sized town surrounded by vineyards, pear orchards and redwood-covered hills.
