This role allows therapists to support individuals with conditions like COPD, asthma, and sleep apnea from a distance. Virtual therapists use video calls, phone consultations, and digital health tools to deliver care. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a virtual respiratory therapist?

To thrive as a Virtual Respiratory Therapist, you need a degree in respiratory therapy, active licensure, clinical experience, and a solid understanding of respiratory care protocols. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and remote patient monitoring devices is often essential.
