Job description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education – Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (AND or BSN). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience – Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of clinical nursing experience. Experience in outpatient behavioral health, psychiatric triage, or crisis intervention, preferred. Prior experience delivering nursing triage or care via telehealth/virtual platforms preferred. Demonstrated experience using electronic health records (Epic preferred).

Licenses & Certification – Current State of Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse (RN), or ability to obtain prior to employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Knowledge & Skills –

  1. Knowledge of ambulatory care, triage protocols, and virtual care delivery modes.

  2. Strong clinical judgment in mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and psychiatric emergencies.

  3. Knowledge of telehealth-specific privacy laws and regulations (e.g., HIPPA).

  4. Ability to coordinate care across disciplines and work within a team-based virtual environment.

  5. Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

JOB SUMMARY

Care delivery and documentation are performed in accordance with MCNDOH policies and procedures, applicable State and Federal regulations, and accepted standards of practice for virtual medicine.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed remotely within a dedicated virtual health environment. Frequent interaction with patients occurs via video and/or telephone platforms. The provider may encounter patients who are distressed, acutely ill, or experiencing behavioral health crisis while navigating the limitation of a remote setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Prolonged computer use, including video visits and typing for extended periods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

On-Demand Clinical Care (Telehealth)

  1. Virtual Triage: Conduct virtual triage and clinical assessments for on-demand behavioral health patients.
