• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to understand the mental health needs of patients and establish personalized treatment plans that align with their goals.
• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions, crisis intervention services, and therapeutic support for patients dealing with a variety of emotional and psychological challenges.
• Facilitate therapeutic group workshops that tackle relevant topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring that patients feel engaged and supported.
• Collaborate proactively with other healthcare teams and departments, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support services, to create a holistic approach to patient care.
• Engage in outreach programs and preventive initiatives to promote mental wellness and connect with the community, helping to destigmatize mental health issues.
• Document clinical interventions and patient progress accurately using electronic health record systems, adhering to all confidentiality and compliance regulations.

• Demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges faced by hospital patients and the mental health issues that frequently arise within this context.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy modalities suitable for an outpatient counseling setting.
• A proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing a diverse caseload while prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.

• Previous experience providing mental health counseling in a hospital or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices for remote service delivery.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions or workshops focused on mental health topics.
