Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify the mental health needs of patients, formulating personalized treatment plans that address those needs.
  • Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services, offering support for a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
  • Facilitate therapy groups and workshops focusing on critical topics such as coping strategies, mindfulness, and personal development to foster patient engagement and community support.
  • Collaborate closely with various hospital departments, including medical teams and patient support services, ensuring holistic care is delivered to each patient.
  • Engage in proactive outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about mental health challenges within the community and promoting preventive care strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of patients from various backgrounds, including individuals experiencing chronic mental health issues, those in crisis, and patients requiring ongoing support during their recovery process. Your role will involve utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to effectively address the unique challenges faced by each patient, fostering an environment of trust and understanding.

Qualifications
  • Active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) candidates are also welcome.
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong grasp of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models tailored for outpatient settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, vital for establishing rapport with patients and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical or community health setting, particularly with diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to document patient progress and deliver services efficiently.
  • A proven track record in crisis management and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits
