• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, recognizing their strengths and identifying areas for growth.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions, skillfully adapting interventions to align with clients’ unique cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy, to promote positive mental health outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that define measurable goals, planned interventions, and methods for tracking client progress over time.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create coherent, comprehensive treatment plans that support client recovery.
• Engage with psychiatrists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate holistic care efforts, addressing both mental health and substance use needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services, including risk assessments and safety planning, to ensure clients receive immediate and appropriate care.
• Act as an advocate for clients, helping them navigate community resources and providing robust case management support to facilitate their recovery journey.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and engagement activities aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma throughout New Bedford.

In your role as a clinical social worker, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders, those experiencing co-occurring mental health issues, and families navigating the challenges associated with addiction. • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
