Position Overview

Access Mind Counseling LLC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dedicated team in Worcester, Massachusetts. As an LICSW at our Detox Center, you will provide essential outpatient therapy to individuals and families affected by cancer diagnoses, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status, using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as a reference to develop individualized care plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies, continually evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and treatment records in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboratively engage with patients and their families to create comprehensive treatment plans that cater to specific goals and needs.
• Coordinate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and other treatment providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide educational support and mentorship to students, interns, and volunteers to help cultivate the next generation of social work professionals.
• Participate in team initiatives, including clinical collaboration, peer reviews, and training sessions to enhance service delivery and support the development of team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals and families battling the emotional and psychological impacts of cancer diagnoses. You will provide empathetic and tailored therapeutic approaches that recognize and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds and unique needs of our patients, ensuring they feel understood and empowered throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of clinical best practices, including evidence-based therapeutic techniques and ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working with oncology patients or in a detoxification setting will be highly regarded. Familiarity with a range of therapeutic modalities and previous involvement in collaborative clinical environments can provide additional benefits and insight.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
